It feels nice to write about Nepali movies and music as an “entertainment industry”. Not long ago, this field was completely ignored and even ridiculed for being low tech Bollywood copy machine. Now with growing market influence and also some talented actors and directors, I can see that Nepali movie industry is on a recovery path.
CineSansar.com, has some interesting articles on Nepali movies and also actors and directors. It is not a People Magazine but kudos for their writers for making an effort to present the field as an “industry” and not a way to get famous by investing cash and creating scandal.
I wish local business would buy their advertising space and support this effort. Compared to trashy sites which make money by posting pictures if half naked models, this is a better effort.
